Maybe the best used book store I've seen in years. Better than 95% of Half Price Books. Their 99 cent section is expansive. Their YA and Kids section is huge. Their prices are good enough to build a great collection for an affordable amount. Top notch.

Great deals on used books. We went on a Sunday and filled a brown paper bag of books in the outside lot for $5.

Amazing collection of books including fantasy and manga. Used books super generously priced and dollar books outside. Even new books are like half price sometimes.

We visited during a $1 sale, so we were excited to see what books were available. We purchased several books, and even found some new ones we had not read before.

I recently discovered Grassroots, and it's my new go-to store for finding affordable used and new books. Today, I purchased 9 books for a little less than $30. The top row (pictured) was from the $1 outside sale, which is located to the right of the building, and the bottom four were from inside the store, where unmarked paperbacks were listed at $2.99. Despite being the third person in line for checkout, it was super fast, and the employees were friendly!

Grassroots Bookstore is such a gem! They carry both used and new books at very fair prices, and the store is well organized, making it easy to find what you’re looking for. A great selection, friendly atmosphere, and overall a very positive experience. I’ll definitely be back!

For $103, we just replaced the entire library for each of our kids with really good quality books in excellent condition! Definitely the best bookstore I've been to for families on a budget, and I'll be sure to visit every time I'm in Nevada! I'm so glad y'all exist! Thank you for being so kind to my kids, too. We're about to dig into some of these books for the trip back home.

This place is amazing! A true God send for homeschoolers! I highly suggest, weather pending, the $5 book bag desk outside on Sundays. Anything you can fit in the bag provided, good sized bag mind you, for 5 bucks. Just go!!!!

LOVE this store. I have been coming here sporadically for about 2 years and have always had a positive experience. The staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable. The store is very clean and well organized. They keep a very current and relevant selection. They offer free tea all day and for first time shoppers you get a free book coupon. The prices are extremely reasonable and it’s a great place to offload old books. They buy what they can and otherwise you can donate the rest for their monthly warehouse sales or take them back home. You likely won’t make a lot off what you sell to them unless you have extremely valuable or current books, but people should understand that, books often don’t retain a lot of value. This is a place for people who love to read and the culture of it, so if you’re interested in the money aspect you can try your luck on eBay or another platform, but this is a very convenient option to give new love to your old books. Highly recommend a visit here!
